Money worries can have a significant impact on your life. They can affect your relationships with those close to you and leave you feeling anxious and stressed. While this doesn’t automatically mean you have a mental health problem, left unchecked, issues can snowball and impact many aspects of your life including your physical and mental health. However, there is lots of support and advice available to you to help you tackle these problems.

And if your finances aren’t causing you any concerns, it’s often a good idea to check and see if you’re making the most of your money.  Whatever your position, there’s usually no time like the present for taking a closer look at your finances.

The Government’s independent money advice organisation, Money Helper, has several helpful tools and guides, including a Midlife Money MOT.

They are sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions to ensure everyone across the UK has access to the impartial guidance and information they need to make effective financial decisions throughout their lifetime. They also offer free, confidential, impartial advice
